We are a bunch of 4x4 enthusiasts who love getting off the beaten track, exploring what Western Australia has to offer and, most importantly, having a bloody good time doing it!

Off Road In WA is about bringing like-minded people together for day trips, exploring new tracks, discovering hidden gems and enjoying the great outdoors with our 4WDs.

Whether you’re an experienced off-roader or just keen to get out and explore, you’re welcome to join us. There’s no pressure, no competition and no need to be the biggest or most capable rig — just bring your 4WD, your sense of adventure and a willingness to have some fun.

Meet Robin

I’m Robin Hodgson, founder of Off Road In WA and, quite simply, I love getting out there and seeing where the track takes me. I also go by Bob or Rob... well I kind of answer to anything really lol.

I’m a former Royal Marine Commando, and over the years I’ve had the opportunity to drive off-road in some pretty incredible places around the world, including some of the more extreme environments in the Arctic and Antarctic regions. But despite all those adventures, one of my favourite places to explore is right here in Western Australia — Julimar State Forest, which is pretty much my backyard playground.

For me, off-roading isn’t about having the biggest, most expensive or most capable 4WD. It’s about getting outside, learning new skills, exploring great places and having a bloody good time with good people.

I started Off Road In WA to bring together people who share that passion. Whether you’re completely new to 4x4ing, still learning the ropes or have years of experience under your belt, you’re welcome to come along.

I’m pretty easy going, love a laugh and I’m always happy to lend a hand, share some knowledge or point someone in the right direction. There’s no ego, no pressure and no expectation that you need to prove anything.

Jump in, get your tyres dirty and enjoy the adventure. That’s what Off Road In WA is all about.

You can follow us on our social media, linked below, and enjoy our photos and videos! all public trips are posted on the Facebook Page and in the private Facebook Group. We have a no bs no nasties no spam no advertising (except the missus because she is an admin) so if you can follow those simple rules then come and follow us!

note : I am a one eyed Landrover enthusiast, I have three lol but all makes and marques of vehicles are welcome :)
